dc.description.abstractIn 1991, eighteen ecclesiastical institutions formed the URBE network (Unione Romana Biblioteche Ecclesiastiche) with the aim of sharing their documentary resources. Over the years, they have designed and applied common data processing and recording models. The article outlines the historical-theoretical excursus that led to the drafting of the “Model for authority data for the URBE network”.
