This conference volume places the church property at the centre of the interdisciplinary discourse on the transformation of sacred spaces. Sustainable conversion strategies for the future of our church buildings require great sensitivity, a willingness for transdisciplinary cooperation and the harmonisation of the different value systems of all stakeholders. In addition to specialist knowledge, 18 specialist articles and field reports from (international) practice provide inspiration for intelligent, creative and sustainable conversion and financing concepts, thus promoting the professionalisation of sacred space transformation with the help of the real estate industry.
