dc.description.abstractThe essay explores the legal effects of gambling from the perspective of relevant civil law regulations. Starting from the premise of the legal system's neutrality towards gambling, it investigates the implications of loans provided for gambling purposes and how the legal framework can be interpreted considering the subjective condition of addiction that characterizes individuals suffering from pathological gambling disorder. Additionally, it considers the issue of incapacity among gambling addicts, which prompts an examination of addiction within the context of vulnerable individuals and justifications for protective measures that limit their legal capacity to act.
