dc.description.abstractThis paper aims to evaluate the chance to make GIS based scenarios to study the symbolic in historical landscapes. This is intended in a broad sense. In fact, we consider the symbols of political as well as religious power, identity values and local communities belief. Often, an approach mainly focused on economics misses to evaluate correctly the symbolic sphere. However, it used to be important in the past. This approach is a development of similar British experiences.
