Hurdles for Phage Therapy (PT) to Become a Reality

            Brüssow, Harald (2019)
Alternative treatment modes for antibiotic-resistant bacterial pathogens have become a public health priority. Bacteriophages are bacterial viruses that infect and lyse bacterial cells. Since bacteriophages are frequently ...

            Hydrogels in Tissue Engineering

            Esmaiel Jabbari (Ed.) (2018)
Hydrogels are the foundation of regenerative medicine as a supportive matrix for cell immobilization and growth factor delivery. The fate of implanted cells is mediated by cell-matrix interaction at multiple scales and ...

            Hydro-Ecological Modeling

            (2016)
Water is not only an interesting object to be studied on its own, it also is an important component driving almost all ecological processes occurring in our landscapes. Plant growth depends on soil water content, as well ...

            Ice Crystals

            Furukawa, Yoshinori (2019)
Ice crystals are the most ubiquitous material found in the cryosphere environment of the Earth, in the planetary system, and also in our daily lives. In recent years, ice crystals have increased in importance as one of the ...

            Immobilized Biocatalysts

            Peter Grunwald (Ed.) (2018)
Biocatalysts (enzymes and whole cells) catalyze reactions with the advantage of superior chemo-, regio-, and stereo-specificity in mild conditions, thereby avoiding the production of larger amounts of waste. The currently ...
