Berghahn Books supports policies that aim at making scholarship available to a broader audience through Open Access. In addition to our standard Green Access guidelines, we offer Gold Access that allows the PDF edition to be available immediately upon publication through our website and elsewhere as needed. Our default license is a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, which offers the strongest protections for the rights of the Author; other license options may be discussed with the publisher. Gold Access requires the payment of a fee, which is often paid by a university or funding organization.
