Le norme stabilite e infrante. Saggi italo-tedeschi in prospettiva linguistica, letteraria e interculturale collects linguistic and literary essays which analyse the writing styles of authors like Vasari and Goethe, forms of modern communication, and theoretical and normative aspects of language. Other essays focus on the work of Italian authors from the 20th century (Pirandello and Atzeni), investigating the dimension of intertextuality and polyphony of languages. The relationship between concrete poetry and visual poetry is also analysed, and so is the expressive technique of language in the cinema. This volume ends with an analysis of the cultural policies of both countries, highlighting their similarities and differences.
