            Abstract
            Es war bekanntlich Vuk Stefanović Karadžić, der mit seinem Werk einen Wendepunkt in der Geschichte der serbischen Sprache und ihrer Orthographie markiert. Dieses Werk, das nicht nur groß ist, weil es Neues brachte, sondern auch, weil es zielsicher in die gesellschaftliche Wirklichkeit hineingetragen wurde, hat nahezu alle progressiven Ideen der Vorläufer Vuks in sich aufgenommen. Einer dieser Vorläufer, dem Vuk wohl am meisten verdankt, was die Reform der serbischen Kyriliza und Orthographie wie die Auffassung des phonologischen Prinzips betrifft, ist Sava Mrkalj, eine ebenso bedeutende wie tragische Persönlichkeit des serbischen kulturellen Lebens am Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts.

            Export search results
