            Abstract
            Based on the monuments ensemble in the Arkadenhof of the University of Vienna, this thematic volume is dedicated to the tradition of scholarly memoirs in European comparison. In 24 expert contributions, the volume traces the history of the monuments of the University of Vienna in the changing cultural and political contexts and embeds this outstanding example in the European environment of historic halls of honor and pantheons.
             
            Ausgehend von dem Denkmäler-Ensemble im Arkadenhof der Universität Wien, widmet sich dieser Themenband der Tradition der Gelehrtenmemoria im europäischen Vergleich. In 24 Expertenbeiträgen spürt der Band der Entstehungsgeschichte der Denkmäler der Universität Wien in den wechselnden kulturellen und politischen Kontexten nach und bettet dieses herausragende Beispiel in das europäische Umfeld historischer Ehrenhallen und Pantheons ein.

            Export search results
