            Résumé
This book is the first comprehensive study on the psalm metaphrase by Byzantine poet Manuel Philes (fourteenth century) and contains the first critical edition of the entire text (about 3,500 verses). It arranges metaphrase and psalm text synoptically. An introduction and commentary provide a full examination of the manuscripts, their language, and Philes’s method of reworking the psalm text.
