Abstract

This book deconstructs the supposed "homogeneity" of the Iberian Peninsula in order to redefine this geographical area as a multiracial and multicultural space in continuous reconfiguration through the centuries. It examines how the presence of people racialized as black has been negotiated in literature, art, and other cultural practices.
