            Abstract
            Wie stehen Kunst und weibliche Emanzipation in Zusammenhang? Mit einem Spannungsbogen von den hochpolitischen Anfängen feministischer Künstlerinnenausstellungen am Anfang der 1970er Jahre bis zu deren subversiven Ausläufern Mitte der 1980er Jahre stellt Monika Kaiser internationale Projekte wie Womanhouse (Judy Chicago), Magna Feminismus und Kunst mit Eigen-Sinn (Valie Export) sowie sechs weitere exemplarische Ausstellungen in einen neuen, am Raum orientierten Bedeutungszusammenhang. Unveröffentlichtes Quellenmaterial ermöglicht die Rekonstruktion konkreter Ausstellungsräume und gibt Einblick in einen bislang unterschätzten Teil emanzipatorischer Ausstellungskultur.

            Export search results
