What would be just and fair solutions in the spirit of the Washington Principles? This volume provides an answer to this question, identifying functional points of comparison via an extensive study of restitution practices in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom and Switzerland and applying these practices to generate rules and supplementary commentaries.
