dc.description.abstractThis study inquires into just noticeable differences in the stimulus between harmonic and transient vibrations, the properties and effects of transient vibrations, multi-sensory perception in the tactile frequency domain, as well as their interactions in an acoustic environment. The investigations are carried out predominantly on a ride comfort simulator with the help of numerous trials on human participants. Driving tests done using real test vehicles also serve to validate the results.
