Abstract

The essay offers an analysis of the issues surrounding the notion of work and Total Mobilisation in Ernst Jünger. The First World War constitutes a historical event that through its call for Total Mobilisation leads all forms of life into the era of absolute work. Jünger's morphological interpretation of history conceives a response to the condition of oppression and exploitation centred on the individual's capacity for revolt.
