Abstract

The essay deals with the debate around the provision of a legal minimum wage, which is absent in the Italian legal system. The author believes that the issue deserves to be well explored and cannot be resolved in a simplistic manner. According to the author's proposal, the role of collective bargaining should be enhanced, finally realising its general effectiveness.
