Abstract
This textbook by Barbara Bogołębska and Monika Worsowicz contains a basic introduction to rhetoric and its applications, particularly in terms of media studies and journalism. It is a product of the authors’ teaching and research experience in the Department of Journalism and Communication at the University of Łódź, where they work as researchers and teachers of rhetoric. It also fills a gap on the publishing market, where there is a lack of books designed for readers who are just being introduced to this field or who are setting in order or expanding their knowledge of it and need a general and systematic discussion of its key issues.
