The anthology Texts and Readers presents a broad spectrum of peer-reviewed articles on text selection and approaches to reading in lower secondary school. At these grade levels, pupils encounter more complex and diverse texts than before, and expectations for reading competence increase noticeably during the lower secondary years. The contributions make the school’s reading and reading instruction highly relevant in the 2020s.
